Introducing the 2007-2008 Main Street Tehachapi Board of Directors
On January 9, Main Street conducted its annual Membership Meeting and Biennial election of the Board of Directors. Returning to the Board are: Adrian Moore, Charles White, Alice Juckes, Linda Gordon, Marcia Smith, Richard Henry, and Rebecca Bergstrom-Clark. Newly elected Board members are Claudia Henson (not pictured) and Larry Barrett.

THE HISTORIC MURALS COMMITTEE (pictured above) was added to the Main Street team in Tehachapi. The committee’s goal is to create historical outdoor professional artwork in order to celebrate community pride, to help revitalize the downtown Tehachapi area and stimulate tourism as a means of promoting economic development.

THE ORGANIZATION COMMITTEE gives the downtown commercial district on-going attention and care by working cooperatively with other community groups on development projects.

THE PROMOTION COMMITTEE fosters a positive image for downtown and creates a spirit of celebration.

THE ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING COMMITTEE works to improve downtown market opportunities.

THE DESIGN COMMITTEE encourages downtown improvements to maintain an attractive environment.
